Information you provide directly. When you sign up for the newsletter, download a free guide, take a quiz, or submit a contact or consultation inquiry, you may share your name, email address, and basic information about your pet (such as species, age, and behavior concerns).
Client forms. If you are an established client, documents you submit through the client forms page are stored securely and used only to prepare for and provide your consultation.
Automatic information. Like most websites, basic technical data (browser type, pages visited, approximate location) may be collected to understand how the site is used and to keep it secure.
I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
This website is built on a secure cloud platform. Information you submit to Rachel Malamed, DVM through Pet Psychiatry Hub is stored in an access-controlled database and retained only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law.
Courses are hosted on a separate course platform (Squarespace). If you enroll in a course, your purchase and account information is handled under that platform's privacy policy.
Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also contact me at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you, subject to any legal record-keeping obligations related to veterinary services.
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. As noted above, I do not sell or share personal information.
This site is intended for adults. The family dog quiz is designed for parents and children to complete together, but any account, email signup, or form submission should be done by an adult. I do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Information you share about your pet through forms or consultations is treated with care. However, this website's educational content is not a substitute for individualized veterinary care, and submitting a form does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship on its own.
I may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
