How we use AI

I believe you should always know who, or what, you're watching. Here is exactly how artificial intelligence appears in my courses and on this site.

Every lesson is presented by an AI avatar

All lessons in Pet Psychiatry Hub courses are presented on screen by an AI avatar created from my own likeness, with my permission. Filming a full course in a studio takes months. The avatar lets me keep lessons up to date more efficiently.

Written and narrated by me

Every lesson is written by me, Dr. Rachel Malamed, DVM, DACVB, a veterinary psychiatrist (board-certified veterinary behaviorist), and every lesson is narrated by me. The narration is either my original recording or my recording processed through voice mirroring, which uses a voice model created from my own recordings, with my permission. Either way, what you hear is my voice reading my own words.

The avatar does not think for itself

The avatar is a presenter, not an author. It never improvises, never answers questions, and never generates clinical guidance on its own. Nothing reaches you that I did not write and approve. AI is a production tool here, not a source of expertise.

What AI does not do

  • ·It does not answer your questions live or give individualized advice about your pet.
  • ·It does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace a veterinary examination.
  • ·It is not used to fabricate testimonials, case outcomes, or credentials.

Working with me directly

Consultations, webinars, and correspondence are always me: no avatar, no AI stand-in. Learn about consultations.
